What is 'ACT BACK' ?
‘ACT BACK’ is an automated data backup and restoration system providing powerful tools to protect important data. How Does ‘ACT BACK’ Work?
‘ACT BACK’ installs a small client software application on the local computer to manage all of the data protection and restoration. After the data you want to protect is easily identified, ‘ACT BACK’ encrypts and compresses this data and then transfers a master copy to an ‘ACT BACK’ data center.
During the 5-minute setup the user is asked to choose a password and a passphrase. The password protects access to the account and the passphrase protects the data. The unique passphrase becomes part of the ‘ACT BACK’ encryption algorithm. Each time a file is changed, ‘ACT BACK’ detects the change, encrypts and compresses the revision and sends it to an ‘ACT BACK’ data center to be stored with the master copy of the file. Unlike our competition, the user determines what files and folders to backup and different backup procedures can be defined on a file-by-file basis. ‘ACT BACK’ does not care if the file is located on the computer or somewhere else on the network. Just point and shoot and ‘ACT BACK’ does the rest.
Our easy-to-use system is flexible in how often to backup and how many previous versions of the data are kept. Because only the data changes or deltas are stored, very small amounts of storage are used to maintain many versions. ‘ACT BACK’ can even help when data is destroyed by mistake because ‘ACT BACK’ maintains copies of deleted files for a period of time preventing accidental deletions.
